About Pleasant, a small batch cookie company based in Hamilton, Ontario

My name is Rosalynde, owner and operator of Pleasant Cookie Co.

I’ve always been passionate about small business and creating community through a shared love of food. Cookies are my favourite treats to make, they’re so comforting and nostalgic- everyone has a memory associated with cookies. Growing up my mum would make the best chocolate chip cookies. Nothing matched the excitement of opening a full cookie jar, or proudly displaying a tray of them at a school bake sale.

Years ago, when I started making my own cookies I was fascinated by the thought and science that went into making the “perfect” cookie. For me that perfect cookie is- crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, filled with layers of Belgian chocolate and finished with Maldon salt.

I hope you like them just as much as I do! I look forward to creating a cookie community here in Hamilton.
